I ate scorpion, I ate cocoons. But not this one, puahleassee.
Starfish is just too cute. And the idea to eat them is kinda freaky.

now, this is hard to imagine...I've seen dried ones for medicinal purpose in shops here but never fresh ones on sticks...btw, I stayed in Beijing for 2 months in 2004 but never seen this too, anywaz, I'm never adventurous in trying food...there is, however, a very good American breakfast place I know of downtown :-)
The play of light makes the photo quite beautiful. Wasn't aware that they are eatable. I'll pass.

Hi there! lving your beijing photos. Thought you might like to have a pek at my pictures of my trip to China - in 1978 - so older than you! Not too manyof Beijing, but there is one of a Hutong housing complex. Fast disappearing, I believe.
